Workers Comp In CA (Star Insurance)

Hi I am looking to get set up with a few workers comp carriers.

I hear that Star Insurance(Midwest) is pretty cheap premium wise. Anyone have experience setting up with them or know of a good MGA that has access to their markets?

You can't ge direct appointment with any carrier in the begining.It's best to get appointed with an GA or an independent agency to start building your book of business.Hope that helps.

Sorry I forgot, Commodore insurance in Fresno specializes in work comp.and they MGA for many carriers.

try to get firstcomp, atminsurance, insurex and state fund should get you a pretty good start
