Workers Comp in Florida

Hello,

Is anyone else having problems placing workers comp new business with no priors?

I've had over 65k in premium in the last couple weeks declined by all of my admitted carriers. The policies were in the following industry:

- Pool Screen Installer; 5102
- Residential Carpentry; 5651
- Masonry; 5022

What carriers will write these businesses with no prior?

No, I have not. Do they write to Admitted Carriers? How is the overall process wit them?

Will they write construction industry with no priors?

yes. Just wrote a GC which is very tough. I might be wrong but I thought all WC companies in Florida were admitted.

There are some non-admitted carriers, which are generally found in surplus lines.

What carrier did FASTCOMP place the GC with?

That is a PEO service. I wish it was someone else because I'm trying to avoid PEOs, and surplus lines.

They do both. Also look at First Comp. Amtrust will do masonry flat work no block.

Yes, thank you. I have both of these already. But I'm looking for a more aggressive carrier that will write painting contractors, carpenters, etc. with no priors.
