Would you guys get dental work, and go on door to door and face to face appointments?

Im talking about metal braces.

You should look at it this way, after the braces you will look better, and in turn feel better about yourself, therefore you'll have more confidence, so even IF you struggled through that time, the end result is worth it.

Would depend on the teeth originally and how bad they were. If they are quite distracting then it may be a turn off for the clients and will remain so. Braces are usually on for 12-24 months so maybe a year or two of distraction but then a healthy smile the rest of your life.

Invisalign may be an option too...once again, depends on the teeth originally.

teeth are not too bad, but i feel it will deter some clients?

i am already very young in the industry and people dont give me any credibility for the age...

now if i add braces, lol i'll be a baby! but i feel like people buy from good looking people more.

I don't think looks play that much into it. I have ssen some pretty goofy insurance agents that do well. Tins doesn't do too bad either and his momma is the only one that thinks he is cute...:goofy:

^ This exactly, Sales is something completely different.
If people trust and like you you can succeed.

Some of the ugliest people I've ever seen in my entire life make TONS of money in sales. I thought for a while the uglier you were the more money you make :D.

A guy I know works as the national marketer for a network marketing company... he's making 600k a year, he will probably be closer to 1 million a year in about 6 months, and he has to be one of the most repulsive looking people I've ever seen in my life.

It's all about confidence and people trusting you...

Do they not make the clear braces? I would look at those if you are apprehensive about it. EIther which way, go for it and don't let it work on your confidence. Iv'e walked into appointments unknowingly with toilet paper stuck to my shoes, never stopped me from making a sale:)

This is true, a friend and I use to to have a "Faces of Insurance" file where we would see either home office people from the carrier or top salesmen listed in a magazine who should have been in the People of Walmart page. Successful but not because of looks!

If it is an issue with you, pre-qualify on phone and build rapport so you have them hooked before you show up.
