301 Redirect for Pr 6 Website

I have a new (2 month old) insurance domain.

I also have an opporunity to purchase a non related PR6 website for $1k....

If I did a 301 redirect of the pr6 site to my insurance domain, would that PR6 transfer to my ins site, thus making it a PR 6 site?

You'd almost be better off keeping the old sites content, trying to monetize it with adwords, and giving yourself a link off it so you didn't spend as much money.

If you're getting a permanent one from a relevant site with a low amount of OBL you'll see prices ranging from 100-500 a year.

So it depends. A link from ANY PR6 for 1K?
