33 Gun Purchases - No Red Flags

This is easy to answer. Anyone who buys more than 2 guns in a year could be flagged for additional questioning. His social media could have been watched. So when someone who takes Valium buys more than 2 guns they should definetely be watched. It definetely would have slowed down his gun purchases. Well may be hotels looking over large areas like this should have a camera that counts how many suitcases a single person can bring in. He brought over 10 suitcases over 3 days.

The important thing is to acknowledge people right to self defense on the other hand, have checks for mentally disturbed to not able to accumulate unlimited weapons easily.

Passing laws banning weapons or passing laws banning bump stocks won't do much.

What magical law are you going to pass that tells you what people are doing with a a gun they purchased.

What law are you going to put in that would have stopped that latest shooting. You can put a hold on someone that is purchasing multiple guns in a year, wouldn't have changed a thing. He had a bunch but only used 2 or 3 of the guns he had.

What exact law would you like that would have stopped him. Give me answers not rhetoric.

It doesn't matter what I think because all you're going to do is complain about it. It's a sad old game when it comes to guns.

Nothing will happen until republicans take the lead on guns safety. It doesn't help for me to make suggestions because I then become a foil and the argument becomes about me.

No. It is not helpful for democrats and democrat voters to suggest policies anymore, because we have and nothing has helped. It is time we as a country come to realization that we are at the mercy of republicans and solutions need to come from the right.

The problem with Democrats and guns is that they come in with emotion and no knowledge. This fascination with "assault weapon" is the biggest joke. It is all cosmetics, the rail, the stock, they have uses but do not change the function of the weapon. The rate of fire and ballistics are the same as any other semi-auto of the same caliber. One reporter even asked a cop in an interview about the increased speed of the bullet because it was a semi auto. (my head almost exploded.)

This is a 223 (the most popular caliber for the scary guns) Same power and with a different clip, same amount of shells.

The biggest difference is city dwellers vs farm boys, I grew up with guns everywhere. During the fall every boys car or truck had a shotgun or weapon in the school parking lot and we went hunting after school. Guess what we fought each other constantly and nobody ever pulled out a gun.

All BS aside, I seriously think that it is more of a society problem. Kids have always picked on others that were different or weaker, they are mean little bastards. The difference is that kids would only take so much and then fight back, now they are given pills to help with the depression and anxiety and never have to face their problem head on.

If you sell health or life, you know what I am saying is true, 75% of the people I talk to are taking a prescription for depression or anxiety. We dont face our problems anymore we medicate them away and I think that is why most snap. They do not have the tools to deal with life, when it goes bad. (just my uneducated, bigoted, xenophobic opinion)

Do I need a bump stock or 50 round mag, no, but I do not want someone telling me I cant either.

There are already background checks, and you will never stop someone selling a gun to another person outright. (you cant control it) Straw purchases are illegal now and they still happen every day, criminals are funny that way.

That last shooter had explosives and was trying to blow fuel tanks, there ain't a fricken thing you could have done to stop him from killing people.

There was 64,000 drug overdose deaths estimated in 2016, and drugs are illegal.

There are lots of ways to track guns after the purchase, incorporate mental health screening into background checks, stop straw purchases. Democrats and many reasonable republicans have suggested them over and over but cannot get people like you to agree and we are stuck with the highest murder and suicide rates in the developed world because of it.

I said it before and I will say it again, the entire country is at the mercy of people like you that vote republican, Republican politicians and the NRA when it comes to guns violence. Until these groups can no longer stand the carnage it will just continue.
