36 Year Old on Suboxone

Am I stand correct that there is no carrier who will take a 36 year female old on Suboxone due to pain med abuse? If I am wrong :no:please let me know who would take her.
TIA

I had the same situation last week----never came across that med before. I was on the bad rx list of most the carriers and was flagged during the POS scriptcheck but could have gotten her a modified ROP with Foresters. Had I not seen it on those lists--- I really knew nothing about it--- I might have taken her No answer to the question and wrote her with RNA since it was not on their list. I prob shouldn't have called RNA u/w to inquire------they told me she was a decline despite it not being on list so guess their list isn't the final word. I'll always be curious what the phone interview decision would have been had I not called u/w direct and just ran it thru---wish I had

You still can........................

I gave it a good thought but finally relented and wrote her Gerber---------was afraid it might come back at me since I spoke to an u/w and wish I hadn't

is it your thought that list is not totally official and could still get nixed on the backend ----under the old system I can see that happening---------under the voice sig immediate decision I have reason to believe it might have gone thru with the med not on their list ?????-----I regret having called them and should have just accepted her NO answers and let it rip-----I'd never come across the RX before

How'd you write a 36 yr old with Gerber when they write 50-80? Only company that will write her up to $10k is Columbian GI

I've heard from agents that don't write much RNA that they don't follow the list. That's also usually agents that call.

I find that RNA is the most predictable company I have. They follow the application and the drug list to the letter. I have never once had them decline or change to graded because of a med not on the list. That's in 7 years of writing them. 6 of those as my go to company.

Same if a med is on the list. Say it's prescribed off label and think they should make an exception. Ain't happening.

In your case, what's to keep another agent that writes RNA from going in there and writing it now? They probably wouldn't call the company. Just follow the rules as RNA has written them and gets it issued?

I hear you and agree---kicking myself for calling and not just running it with her No answer. Had I known what the med was for (yeah I could have googled it) I may have questioned her on the No answer. I probably needlessly went a step beyond and got myself a gerber maybe for no good reason.

So you find it puzzling the underwriter would have in the absence of a submitted app deviated from the list to tell me it would be a decline??? Course it wouldn't surprise me if a new decline drug becomes evident to them that they may not print a new list each time. Yeahhhhhh it prob would have flown with the Voice Sig and only become an issue based on her question answering during a contestable claim. Some heath questions are "grey" and I can see how the lady may not think this drug is "treatment" and I should have just rolled with it and got a verdict at the end of the 25 minutes ( a decline at the end of that may have aggravated her so to maybe throw me out before a Gerber though, lol)

TA Rx guide says within 1 year graded, within 2 years standard, and preferred over 2 years.
