Is the old school way of insurance sales- gone forever?

I agree.

If not "telesales agent" what would be a good handle?
Everyone wants to be called different. If you're an agent then you're an agent.

If you're a telemarketer then you're a telemarketer.

If you're a phony mf'er then you're a phony mf'er.

Doesn't matter what you want to be called.

For FE? Maybe a couple?

For other insurance like term or sups? Many!

But the companies I earn trips with are not usually telesales types.

I would guess that most of AmAm's trip earners are telemarketers.

Well wouldn't one suspect if they were much more effective than a F2F agent there would be at least 2 to 1 telesales agents to F2F agents on these carrier trips ?

Wouldn't they make easily "agent of the year" at all companies since way more FE is sold over the phone?
(see post #136) Same dude says he sold 11 policies in 1 day.

Common sense,right ?

Several of their upline as the upline attends a lot of those trips.....LOL

Why so many uplines on these trips and not writing agents ?

Other than providing contracts, what's the responsibility of the upline to a contracted agent after a few years of that agent writing good, clean business,as earned with no agent debt and good persistency?

Because that's how the companies want it.

KSKJ is the only company I've ever worked with that wanted writing agents on the trip over marketers

I was trained by a guy that was using screen sharing pre-zoom to deal with remote customers in a large area. I was lucky to have started out that way. I have clients that prefer face to face, and others that love the online meetings. I do a lot of both but have an odd 2-state area with one state 2000 miles from where I live and my business in the distant state is actually growing from referrals, which surprised me when I moved.

Bottom line is I am glad I am not dragging a briefcase full of paper forms door to door and trying to mail or fax them all in after a long day of having people tell me to go away.
