65F, Insulin Diabetic, 25K, $100 Mo., Anything Less Out There???

I'm not saying you are wrong here Twilight, in fact there is no real 'wrong' it is often times preference and comfort level on the part of the agent... But can you give an example [based on several case studies] where you felt UHL was the go-to company. Frankly I have looked at them in many situations and they just never seemed to measure up, meaning there was always a better fit. But maybe I am missing something, or maybe in the last 3 yrs they have revamped the product line. It has been that long since I was appointed with UHL. And, I would love to sell them cause they are right in my backyard.

[not trying to start an argument here with "my co is better than your co" either]

I would love to hear from the gurus on UHL with respect to diabetic cases as they have been blowing their trumpets that they give diabetic first day coverage.
Thanks very much

I know you hate them, but their rates under 65 are quite good at the premier level. Not everyone likes RNA as much as you do.

That said, they are not my go to, I use them for low rate FE 25-65.

Has nothing to do liking RNA. Even if I didn't write RNA I would not write UHL. Nor are their rates competitive. if someone can get their premier plan then they can qualify for fully underwritten.

I'm not even contracted with them anymore. They termed my contract for low production, {as in none!}.

I doubt they will going from memory. They might if there is nothing else wrong with the person which is rare for an insulin diabetic.

I had then decline 2 different clients on the 10 year term that was 2 years ROP. How the hell does someone get declined for that crap?

There are many companies that give 1st day coverage for insulin diabetics. No reason to fool with a crappy company like UHL.

Anybody have the rates and/or application for GPM?

They seem to be hard to deal with. Home office says I must call regional director for this info.

I call and leave message and hear nothing back.

No FMO/IMO's with them?

Thanks

I am out of town for the week but will be back in town this weekend and if no one has been able to get you the info you need pm me and I will get it to you. IMO, GPM is extremely easy to deal with, as far as getting someone on the phone to answer questions. They update their underwriting I believe up to 5 times a day. Their app will not take everyone but enough that you could make them one of your go to company.

Note:

I cannot figure out how they contract, is it direct?, through FMO or what.

They won't share anything until contracted.

Update:

I have noticed some marketers other than direct. I don't know if you can also go direct or not.

Update:

GPM told me because she takes HBP medicine, does not qualify for the $94.50 rate, simplified issue, first day coverage.

They ask me if I'm a full time final expense guy, I say no. I ask, "why, do you need to be"?

Then I mention I've contacted them 3 times about this, he then talls me "I'm antogonistic". Ok I guess I am then, lol.

I wished they would just say that upfront.

Does anybody know what their deal is with contracting?

They seem to not be very straightforward or have a unique niche, system, etc., IMO

I do not know what it is now. I contracted with them 5+ years ago @ 120% I was direct. I just did not like their underwriting and a couple deals I did with them including a SPWL.

I may re look at them for the military market.

The home office told me I had to be "full time" final expense agent or get lost.

I talked with Senior Market sales and they tell me I can contract for med supp with them and that will include final expense. But they WILL NOT support me for final expense and they don't want to contract anybody but med supp agents.

I have not used them in years. I have not missed them. I can not think of a single company that would make me skip a beat if i lost them today.

As far as support, there are several guys on this board that have helpful to me. I have a contract with one or two of them.

If GPM does not want you..... Next!

I'm curious about something slightly off point. Why do you always post in bold?
