74 FNT Stints Over Three Years Ago

I have a 74 FNT who had 2 stints 8 years ago and one stint three years ago. Nothing since then. She has taken Plavix since that time. She was also prescribed Nitro Glycerin, which she has not taken since the last stint was put in. She does refill the script about once a year because she says the nitro pills expiration date needs to be adhered to. She is a retired nurse, so she obviously knows best! She is also Diabetic, pill only ( glipizide). She takes Isosorbide ( imdur) and Simvstatin. She is in very good condition height. weight and looks wise. I am replacing a Globe that she has had for 8 years that expires at 80.

Called her into Foresters level but it came back modified. They said because of the nitro Glicern pills. According to their guide nitro pills for angina are ok for level. I am concerned that Aetna will grade her as well because of the diabetes and circulation issues.

Any idea on who might approve her level? I did just get set up with KSKY but haven't even looked at what they offer. I do have UHL but don't use them much.

You might want to look at your Foresters Guide again. Nitro for Angina is Modified. Same with Isosorbide for Angina = Modified.

my foresters guide dated 10/10 clearly states nitro and angina as level. It also says the same for isosorbide. I did get a payment bumped last week because I used their old rate sheet. maybe my guidebook is outdated as well?

thanks for all the info

Genworth is not Aetna. No connection at all other than Genworth used to own Continental Life of Brentwood Tennessee and sold that to Aetna.

I had cases like that with trans, if you explain on supplement sheet, it's taken for maintenance, and they see meds have been taken more than 2 years it should be fine.

If you get dr. Letter that she wasn't diagnosed or treated for angina in the last 2 years I think foresters will accept level.

Aetna level on NItro but they also ask about circulatory issues and being diabetic. 3 B
