9 Commission levels?

This is so dumb.

The first store has people outside the store asking the cart pusher what eggs cost and the cart pusher says, I don't know, go inside and ask. And then you do and you get the price.

What I'm saying is using the word "street" doesn't mean you have your cart full before you get the cost, it just means that you need to look inside the store before you fill your cart up.

No one said that saying "street" means that the commissions aren't disclosed (well, you're saying that). We're just using it as a term for fair and competitive comp. So when people who use that term as generalization and you call it deceptive, it irritates the shit out of us.

We are arguing over splitting hairs here. Saying the word Street is not evasive if you're also giving the numbers. The numbers are the answer to the question.

What I have stated and what is wrong is when the word Street is the ONLY answer the agents get when they ask about commission levels. That is the deception I'm talking about. And it happens all the time.

I just think it's a common practice that should not be used. Yes I think you are fair. But an agent that just heard of you for the first time doesn't know whether you're fair or not. And he shouldn't have to get to the point that he's ready to sign a contract before he gets a copy of the commission levels.
i'm not really as concerned with how IMOs think it should be done. I'm more focused with her agents think it should be done. And I bet if you ask 100 agents whether they would prefer to have exact commission grids in writing early in the conversation or just to be told that you'll treat them fairly or Street Level that 100 out of 100 prefer the numbers.

Keep in mind that I did not say the agent doesn't know what the commission levels are until they contract, I just said they'll get a copy of the actual commission schedule before they start contracting.

So, not sure if you guys do it or not, but we send the actual schedule to the agent, not just a list of commissions.

If you are paid by the insurance company then they pay you your portion and pay the upline(s) their portion. You never see their portion. The less they can get you to accept as your portion the more they get on their portion.

That's why you ALWAYS interview several FMOs before you sign up with anyone. Get the starting commission levels IN WRITING from each of them. Let them know you are checking around and are not gullible enough to sign up with one just because they sent you an email or telemarketer you. And NEVER accept the words "street level" as an answer when asking about commissions. That is a stall response for suckers. You need to see numbers on a page.
Thank you so much.

I don't use the word street. So no. It just means some IMOs are higher than us. Many are lower. And more and more of them just don't really want prospective agents to know what they will be paid at all.
Thank you so much. How can I find out more about your company?
