AARP and Mutual of Omaha

I noticed that medicare supplement rates for AARP are the same for Male or Female, but Mutual of Omaha rates are different for each. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Pat

Nope. Not missing a thing. In addition to Moo having male & female they also have a smoking & nonsmoking section for both. (me, I prefer the nosebleed section - you can see more).
:D

Hey medx, didn realize that. Thanks for the info. Here in S FL MoO male smoker is $289 for the F. Just about everybody is cheaper than that except maybe BC/BS. Seems like I mostly run into female non smokers - $213 for the F - even less than AARP & a whole he!! of a lot less than ours ($270). Just lost an N plan ($206) to Moo. Even though the plan was $7 more per month, it was still $100 bucks or so a year less since she didn't have to pay the $155 B ded. & all the $20 (or less) office visit co-pays.

That's the reason that I am going independent. I've been with the company you're with for 7 years as and agent, FTR, and USV. Kind of breaks my heart, but, you gotta make a living. They provide good training and taught me the business, but, the premiums aren't competitive anymore. I'm the trainer now, so there isn't much more they can do for me. Gotta admit, it's nice making 100% instead of 50 on the life side too.

Hey flash,

I'd like to hear more about your transition. Doesn't look like you have enough posts to do a PM so e-mail me your # at [email protected] or give me a call at 954-296-7822. Got to make a decision here in the near future also..

Thanks
Gary

I think I've got enough posts now. Been really cautious about posting too much up until now. Didn't want to pop up on the wrong persons radar. Now it doesn't much matter. I've left.
