Do what my wife and I did a few years back - go bill-less. Obviously we have phone, food, gas, etc...But we chopped up the credit cards - debit only now, no car payments, no revolving payments of any kind. Kinda refreshing to work and actually keep the money.

Yeah, I have one CC I use for business. Wife has one for ?. But mostly cash.

However, I have spent the last month in Work Avoidance mode. New computer, New CRM etc... I have made a lot of client service calls and of course service work. But have not really gone after the business. More like ran away from it. We are Lucky that we get a fair amount of referrals from clients and from Customer Service reps.

Work Avoidance meets - large Vet bill, School clothes Xs three teens, High School football, Drivers Training, Pool sweep dying, Senior Pictures, Senior ring, Varsity jacket.... Did I mention one of the teens is a Girl.

Time to kick ass. So that I am ready for my December WA time.

I love this business.

Administrator,

I have got some calls from agents who use this board about all the childish stuff and the unmoderated board that goes on or poorly moderated. They said it is always the same handful of posters that act this way from time to time to people with personal attacks and childish behavior that disrupt the board. Thought you may be interested.

Is this post a joke? Are we really to believe people call Jim to complain about what goes on this board....Its like when Harry Reid would come up and say he just got a call from Jimmy (no last Name) who was concerned about his family being thrown out of the country because Bush wanted to pass comprehensive immigration reform....

I believe in both of these calls about as much as I believe in the toot fairy.

Or an even better option IMO. Use a credit card where you'd use a debit card, and pay it off in full every month. Not only is there no interest, but you actually get an interest free loan. Also, you usually get some kind of reward program.

Last time I checked, consumer protection laws were stronger for CC than debit cards, and their rewards programs are generally better.

Ahhhh yes - the "just pay it off every month" theory. That works out well for some people, not so much for me. For me that's like putting a fat man at a buffet and saying "remember, you're on a diet. Now, go eat whatever you want."

You mean there is no flatulence fairy?

Rick

Rick my bad, I left off the h on Tooth fairy...but I don't think there is a flatulence fairy any way....If there was such a thing I don't think fairy would fit, then again toot does sound kinda fairyish but if we called if Fart Man or something :)

I agree with the pay the credit card off each month. Debit cards are like credit cards for morons.
If you can't mentally handle paying off the credit card just have you wife tell you it's a debit card. Then you won't know the difference but you will be WAY better off.
