Affordable Care Act Plans

I've been told that being able to help a spouse who is below 65 is important if one is on Medicare so that you don't leave the other hanging. I'm going to do the MNsure training which (I think) will allow me to sell ACA plans. The people of MNsure are extremely unhelpful in explaining anything which was to be expected from a government run organization. I've heard they have a high MOOP and can get you a tax break and know little to nothing else. Can anyone explain to me how ACA plans work? How much is commission? What difference would there be if I don't own my ACA book, is that gonna be a pain in the future?
