I sold a 58 yr old woman, tobacco user, an $8000 policy with 5 Star for $35/mo. She called me today to say she found a $10,000 whole life policy with double indemnity for $22/mo! I told her for the difference in price, it had to be term. The agents swears that it's whole life. Anybody know anything about AFLAC or where I can get a rate sheet?

Thanks for your help

I dont have 1, but Im willing to bet dollars to donuts she got a 5k WL policy which doubles to 10k for an accidental death. So that agent knew she had 8k & sold her 5k....Karma's a B8tch!

I bet you're right. I asked her to get an illustration. That should tell exactly what she has. Thanks for the post.

That sounds like the right answer. I've seen some agents do that to make it look like more life insurance than it really is.

Sounds right. I explain this to clients as filler. Or more like buying a large box of cereal only to get it home, open it and find that it is half filled with air.

make sure she's comparing a monthly rate for both...that $22 for Aflac might be biweekly...it would be about that price biweekly for WL 58/F/tob for 10k in NJ.

good luck getting an illustration.

You were right. I should have thought of that myself. Thanks for taking care of my brain fart! I was able to save this sale.
