After Buying an Internet Lead

My experience with internet leads was that the closing ratios worked out to around this on the pre-return gross volume on shared in 3 months:
medicare: 0-15% depending on vendor
health: 0-10% depending on vendor
life: 0-3% depending on vendor
More local is 1-2% higher close.

Why do I get the feeling that someone is doing an interview on this forum? Maybe for an article or a new lead vendor?
If you want to buy leads, buy aged leads up to 3 months old, the cost per lead is cheaper, and you'll get more bang for your buck if you're diligent about dialing and working through them. On the other hand, if you buy a real time paid lead, make sure it's local so you can doorknock the lead. This let's you know firsthand if the lead is bogus or not. If it's bogus and the lead company won't give you a refund, fire the lead company.

I don't share the same experience. Internet leads have made me a very nice income without driving all over the countryside.

Good points especially about the getting leads up to 3 months old and getting a better bang for the buck. I had a someone contact me recently about the aged leads we sell that said he was buying real time leads and that he was making most of his sales after the lead was over 2 weeks old, so he figured he might as well buy the aged leads and get a better return on his investment.
