Do MA plans work? Yes, pending where you live.

I have not sold one supplement this AEP. I have them in my bag, but with 8 carrier offering MA plans and a PPO with a max out of pocket that is less then many supplement yearly payments, more of my enrollments this year were supplement to MA then the last several enrollment periods.

Saying MA plans are crap is like saying HSA plans are crap. They may be crap to you but great for others.

Not sure who you're referring to as saying MA plans are crap. If it's me, I didn't say that, I said their a joke. I should have been more specific, their a joke in my area. Being I'm not familiar with how good they are in major metropolitan areas, I should have excluded myself from commenting on their effectiveness in those areas. I'm working mainly in a rural area and their just not very good here + I live close to a state line where folks in one state cross over into another state quite often for care, which presents a problem in some of these type plans.

Also, since MA plans became available in my area, I've only lost 2 med-supps to them. Not a bad ratio. Now that I've bragged, watch about 10 med-supps bite the dust.
