Costs have become a huge concern when it comes to matters of health. What if they don't have insurance? Paying full-price for prescription medications can become extremely stressful. This has provided to businesses and consumers in a different way.

Until Americans decide to participate in their own health care (eating healthy, exercising regularly, etc.) then I don't think it's possible to get health care under control. Furthermore, I take very good care of myself, but have to pay for others that are literally eating themselves to death.
