P&C is going to be hard. I.e Googles failed attempt. However, this could work for term insurance very well.

Agreed, P&C will be tougher since Amazon doesn't have much in the way of car sales (a definitive indicator that someone has a need). However, they may be able to mine data for home goods purchases and work that angle to get the home insured.

We are not there yet but there is money to be made here. I can't imagine amazon to be successful here where google failed. However, if I knew who was looking for baby clothes on amazon and my web site banner can appear on the websites they are visiting, I would be willing to pay for that. There is more money to be made generating non traditional leads and selling them to agents.

That would probably be the extent of the life portion. Can't imagine any of the other class under permanent products to fare well.

Didn't read the article so...maybe they were only focusing on term?
