Consent Forms Need To Go Away.....

I am also hearing they're going to require call recording nonsense in 2025. All of this ridiculous crap is bogging us all down and are just unnecessary roadblocks for us to properly do our jobs and properly help people. There is such an easy technological fix for ALL of this, and such an easy way to make it all go away. Let's say a person needs help.....

They logon their healthcare.gov account and there is a new option that says "Allow Licensed Agent To Complete My Application." They click that and enter my name and NPN that I give them. After they do that, they let me know, and I am then able to logon their account on my own computer using a special one-time temporary unique password that's given only to me.

The person can also choose to make this password a one-time use, or to allow me to help them on an ongoing basis, as needed, if they choose so. And VOILA! Just like that...all these stupid forms, and going back and forth and getting these people to sign them 90 different times, and the stupid incoming call recordings go away! AMAZING! Don't call me Einstein or anything.

The fraud was coming from a VERY SMALL few mills, and it was very small. Not the vast majority of agents. They just hate insurance and hate agents, and they want to make it as hard as possible for us to do our jobs. that's why they REALLY implement all of this. They just use it as an excuse.

The regulation in this industry is at extreme overkill levels. Typical of Democrat nanny state/big brother administrations. I am hopeful that Trump will make this crap all go away. He has said the Scope Of Appointments on the Medicare side are ridiculous.

These are friggin' health insurance policies, not the guarding of state secrets to nuclear codes.

I don't do a ton of ACA but it is getting stupid

I had a client for Medicare who wanted me to be his agent for his wife's ACA plan, a few months back

we had to do a 3 way call with CMS which was a pain, and they made it feel weird too, as if I was going to have access to info no one should have access too and are they SURE they want that
If this were not such an estabished client I think there would be a % who would not do it

But if that were not bad enough when we did reneweal for 2025 we had to do 3 way call AGAIN

really am I going to have to do this every change

These calls are SOOO time consuming as well, add an addition 20 minuets or longer just for consent??

It's insane. And same here....ACA is just way too labor intensive for the money involved. Some of these policies by me are only paying $10/month. I can make almost more on dental.

I just recently started doing them more....just as favors for some of my Medicare clients here and there, and to try and make up some money I lost to ShitCare "Well"Care on PDP's. And the new regulations are absolutely and totally ridiculous.

Passing forms back and forth 90 times to sign again, and again, and again, and again. This is honestly the most low IQ process I have seen in a long time. All these from this Chiquita Brooks-LaSure i-di-ot inside CMS.

I cannot wait until this moron is gone in a few months. I'm gonna be lobbying my FMO and NABIP hard to get what I suggested implemented. I hope everyone here does the same too.

It's really not that hard. You can complain about it or adapt and make your money. Consent forms can all be done digitally OR on the recorded line. Recorded lines aren't very difficult or expensive. The 3 way call or the client submitted app isn't easy but there is no other choice. If other agents don't want to do it, take their business. If you don't want to do it, someone else will take yours

Consent forms are nothing

I had to do 3 way call 2 times on the same policy I am guessing I will have to every time there is a change

and now I just had one there was no previous agent, I spoke to her signed up her husb T65 in feb and she will be on Medicare in AUG

Was changing her ACA plan for 2025 for the 7 months and had to call

Then for some reason it is not asking for some number to be typed in I have no idea what they wanted but she was like well Ill just leave it alone

I never said it was hard. It's simply massively slowing agents down and it also completely unnecessary. Especially when something so easy and simple that can be utilized exists. There's simply zero reason or necessity for it, aside from massively annoying agents, trying to scare people off, and costing us business.
