So the question asks if they have been diagnosed or prescribed medication for x, y, z and stroke.

I gotta lady that had a stroke 4 years ago. She takes warfarin for the stroke, I assume. She was first prescribed the meds right after her stroke.

Would that make that a yes answer?

I've not yet written an Americo app.

typically that would be a no because of a maintenance medication. If this is the ladies only issue, there are better options available, with RNA being one of them.

I'd call for a risk assessment first. If the underwriter says it's ok, make note of the medication and the underwriter you spoke with. If you don't they'll almost certainly give her a UP-3 rating.

Yeah I already replaced $25k with RNA. I'm trying to replace another $10k.

Americo says they do do risk assesments as that's the agents job.

Even if you do talk to an underwriting you will be less clear than you are now.

While I'm not usually a proponent of POS interviews this is one case where you could save some time by going with a company that does them.

I like RNA when it comes to risk assesments, they seem to be very helpful and give you the honest opinion. It helps when you talk to the actual UW department vs customer service.

Called americo. They said as long as she's been on the meds for longer than the look back period, 2 years in this case, then they would be considered maintenance and it would be UP1.
