Americo's NEW Nonsmoker Rates For Smokers

FE clients aren't going to stop smoking to get an insurance policy... if they won't stop to keep from getting cancer.

I’ve been doing this six months full time, and I have already seen a remarkable number of folks on Oxygen, standing next to their “no smoking - oxygen in use” signs, smoking their cigarettes.

I smoked cigarettes. I quit 18 years ago. It was my 247th attempt. It is a very tough addiction to crack, and I agree - no one ever quit smoking to get a lower life insurance premium. On the other hand, we all know that plenty of folks have lied about their smoking to get a lower life insurance premium. This sounds like company sponsored clean sheeting with an extended contestability period that, without further clarification from Americo, possibly sets the client up for a recision down the road due to “fraud.”

@FinalExpenseDojo.com this product isn’t approved in California anyway right? You can only write NT users with it right now.

And if they don’t quit, the premium stays level and the death benefit drops.

I agree this could be abused, but we run into folks all the time that have quit in the last 11 months. This is the perfect product for them.

I wonder if Americo plans on sending a letter explaining how this works to the clients?

Reminds me of "Smokey Ralph". Sat next to him on his couch... he was on full oxygen... we were reviewing some old policies he asked me to look at... ever so often he would reach up, remove this O2 tube and put his fingers over the holes while he took a deep draw on his cig.... I finally looked over at him and said, "Ralph if you don't stop that your going to blow both of us up, and my family needs me."

We chuckled together... but I was afraid the guy was going to burn off what little hair I had left.

My dad used to smoke cigs while he had his oxygen on................until he blue(did that for you John) himself up.

He didn't really blow himself up, but the 1st time he lit up around me with his oxygen on, I asked him what the f*ck he was doing...can't you read that "no smoking ...oxygen in use" sign? He said that you don't have to worry unless it leaks. :swoon:

I "spark up" with oxygen. I'm not worried about an explosion, because my dad assured me that you don't have to worry unless it leaks.
