Americo's NEW Nonsmoker Rates For Smokers

LOL thanks for the laugh Daytimer!
I wonder what type of proof they want of quitting smoking? And am I the one that has to go back and get the proof three years later when they moved and changed phones 3 times over?

Nope!

I will be happy to take care of that for you.

" Hi Mrs Garcia, I am the agent that is servicing your policy. What? Ah, yes I hear that alot on these Americao plans. In that I was not there when you met with Mr DuckLaw, I certainly take your word for it that he did not say anything about your son and daughter getting less insurance money when you die. <shaking my head> What did he say the last time he called to check on you? Really?!? I am so sorry that this has happened to you. Would you like for me to try to help you? ......."

Oregon ole buddy, All I need is your Americo client list I will keep in contact with them for you.

Your Bud,

Wino

Mr Oregod DuckLaw tried to replace one of my clients day one death benefit plans with Senior Life Guaranteed Issue plan.

Luckily I used your script you used to preserve the case

PS This is about as accurate as @myinsurebiz claiming he has 250% FYC products with 50% trails

Almost 70 Percent of Smokers Want to Quit, But Few Do. A new government study finds almost 70 percent of American smokers want to quit, and more than half tried last year, but only 6 percent succeeded.Nov 11, 2011

Found the above on line...

Doing basic numbers here...

Only... 6% of all new "smoking clients" (relative to when they quit and if it where in the 2 year period) would see a benefit from this new plan... (That's assuming you can find them in the the next 24 months... they are not on any nicotine therapy... and they can prove that.)

That means... that 94% of the new clients would go full smoker rates...

And oh yeah... the agent's FYC's are based of nonsmoking rates... then company pockets the bump in rates without paying the commissions...

Does this make any sense to anyone... :err:

You stiff the client... you stiff the agent... Who would write for these guys???

I remember having a 'debate' with someone here. That was really big on them. Back then.

What’s the renewal on this 5%? Let’s be real, for that low ho many agents are going to really follow up? I’m almost wondering if Americo did this for hopes the business falls off to collect years worth of premium and not having to pay death claims. It looks like a scam, feed like a scam, it must be a scam.

If they wanted to do this right, they would have done the opposite. Give them a lower death benefit the. If they can prove they quit smoking within three years give them an increase with no questions asked.

Plus how exactly will clients prove they stopped smoking 12 months prior to the 3 year anniversary?

This whole damn thing is a joke. Only some *** executive would have thought of it.

Did the bean counters ask the agents if this even made sense...

Judging by the responses in this thread... they just wasted what ever time and money they spent to get this to the Dept. of Ins.

Can't wait to see the field test on this product.
