Another Carrier Reduces Commish

It really doesn't matter, the carrier is small and I don't think I've ever written anything from them. No, wait, once about 4 years ago...they took a guy with a heart arrhythmia. They offered cat plans that weren't horrible, but their underwriting was flexible. I only placed that one case that didn't stick for more than a few months so I don't have much experience with them, but thought I'd pass the news along.

Anyhoo, New Era sent me a letter that I got today telling me that they are reducing my commission from the 28 points I had before to 12.

The MLR strikes again...

Lather, rinse, repeat...this is going to be a common refrain.

I didn't know New Era was still in the business. Only time I encountered them was maybe 4 years ago when they were rolling out a mini-med type product that did not require a SSN. The marketing GA actually suggested we go to construction sites and look for people with brown skin to sign up.
