I understood that this decision is still pending. MarketPoint was hoping the PFFS plans would hang around for another year.

Do we have a final decision?

Plans have already been filed for next year's PFFS. We will have it at least one more year unless the gov't says otherwise.

When a carrier no longer offers a plan, it does create a SEP for Med Supps. While not 6 months, they do have a guarantee issue period for Med Supps.

Huh? Medicare is ALREADY nationalized health care.

While I don't sell MAPD, I like them for those who can't get a Med Supp due to cost or UW.

My hope is that IF the government dumps MA that they will creat a SEP (say six month) for those on MA to buy GI Supps. That would be a good market, at least in my area. YMMV.

IF my memory serves me right, about 10 years ago there was a similar program called Med-choice. When those plans were discontinued, folks had the usual 63 days to hunt another replacement.

I suspect this rule will hold for SEP in the future .
