It appears that Sentinel Security is about to come off the market. Seems like this video was pretty fitting….

So, a company not in the FE business leaves the FE business and it's news?

Stevie Wonder saw this years ago.

Who's next? Is Grange going to get out? Chesapeake/Texas Life? Americo? SNL? :D

Did they have cheap rates by chance? Wonder why there have been a few FE carriers to exit the industry in the last year.

I think they're an annuity business is probably the problem in this, but they're all interconnected.

That's just Utah, but I won't write them again. That and going to a TPA.....No thanks.
I never did.

Had a contract but they termed me a couple of years ago for non-p.

Obviously still on the email list though.

They can term that too for all I care.

Got an email from them this morning. Seems the insurance commissioner in Utah put the brakes on them.

Something to do with A-CAP.
Way worse than that. Sentinel & Atlantic Coast are owned by the same company that also owns the 2 reinsurers involved with reinsuring the carriers via offshore reinsurance I believe somewhat newer private equity startup. Articles from last spring when they were caught invested in very illiquid holdings like professional soccer teams in Europe.
