Just got this in my email from United Health...I know this has been an annual issue but aren't you guys selling Part C & D plans just fed up with this stuff.

2010 Part D Renewal Commissions Overpayment
Summary
2010 PDP renewal commission payments for January, February and March were processed April 11. An issue has been identified that resulted in overpayments for all policies.

Strategy for Resolution
To resolve this issue, the PDP renewal payments processed April 11 will be reversed in entirety. The commission system will be fixed and January through April 2010 PDP renewal payments processed in May.

Note: Due to this issue the renewal cycle on April 24 will not include PDP renewal commissions.

So my reading of this is you had to wait until April 11th for Jan,Feb & Mar renewals but they screwed up so they have reversed the entire commission payment...hope you didn't spend it and the April 24th commission will not include renewals...and they don't mention when they will pay those renewals....

Of all the companies I have contracts with, United HealthCare has the most confusing commission statement. I never can figure out is they are paying me correctly or not??

Obviously its too confusing for them also :)

I will not sell a part D plan, and have not sold a MA in over a year. I do not plan on ever doing either again. I do not like how they payt, and I think it is easier when problems happen with them to deal with the carrier.

That is only one of a list of what I consider very good reasons not to sell Part D plans. I don't want any part of being under CMS's thumb.

I became an independent agent to be independent, not to be CMS's "butt boy". I already have a wife.

They did the samething with the Med supps. They paid me twice on a bunch of the Med supps that I wrote during AEP. then in February I got a huge chageback fro them....because they paid twice. I just paid off that $3,000 + chargeback. Strangest company...commission wise. Also they send out really weird renewal letters to the clients showing what their premiums will be going up to in future years. A client sent me one, I had a hard time deciphering it and I'm an agent.

I received a letter from Coventry today informing that my contract will be canceled effective May 1 ,2010 because I didn't send them a copy of my 2010 E&O coverage which I emailed 3 times. So what do I say about being kicked to the curb by Coventry and their PDP plans, THANK GOD!!!!!!!!:twitchy:

Got the same letter some months ago-- which I ignored because I don't sell their **** anymore. Just got another letter informing me that they had in fact erred and my contract is reinstated...
