Anthem New Commission Schedule in Calif.

This is how Anthem does it on the senior side now.

I'll start out 2011 at 14% & 6%.

What I was most interested in was my existing block of business. Knowing commissions are frozen, I can now move forward knowing the future isn't bleak.

The corporate folks did mention that starting at the highest tier is completely up to them, regardless of production, however my RSM intimated that the top producers will be taken care of.

The existing book of business was a huge relief. Even better is allowing members to switch plans and still allow us to maintain higher commission, as everything will be based on original effective date. They also mentioned they'd have some grandfather compliant plan changes available at some point in 2011 for those who want to change plans but remain grandfathered.

I have not yet received the 'good news". However, I keep getting fat envelopes from Anthem CA.

Has anyone else noticed that a HUGE number of provider organizations are losing contract status? Today was pretty much every hospital in Santa Clara County including El Camino, Stanford, O'Conner and SJ Medical.

Seriously, the pile of lost contracts on my desk (both sides) is like 1" thick.
