I'm so tired of running into people with debit cards on checking accounts but none have a check book or a bank statement. Sure most peoplecould get online and find there account #'s but 90% of fe people don't have computers. To get the # you have to drive them to the bank. Do any co's just take a plain debit card attached to a checking account?

Trinity/FBL and 1 star both come to mind immediately. I'm sure there's more.

It's not all that difficult to get bank account numbers. Doubtful they can get them on line though. If you are having that much trouble with account numbers there seems to be more at play.

I have taken the signed draft authorization to the bank and asked them to fill in the account and routing number and they have done it.

I make them dig out a statement if they don't have checks. If it is a bank I know that'll give out account numbers over the phone we just call..I spent 15 minutes yesterday with a lady digging through her crap to find a statement.

Wow, I'm shocked they do that, are you talking about the big banks like chase BOA, or small credit union types?

Not CUs but most of our banks around here are the smaller types. The only mega bank we have here is Regions and I haven't tried it there.

Oh ok, you sell in the boonies, I sell where there is a chase bank on every corner.

Bumping this. I run into cases from time to time where it's difficult to get bank draft info. A case yesterday brought her statement out assuming it would have the info, but of course it didn't. She can't figure out how to get online, and is functionally blind. Since I can write home service, I just took her that direction. Due to multiple health issues, I wasn't going to get a better rate for her anyway. But I'm wondering if all of our FE carriers are still stuck on the old ACH system, or are there some that would set up a draft using a bank debit card?
