Anyone Active in Broward County / S. Florida?

Are there any folks who are active in South Florida? I was planning on walking a senior list and going door to door using the survey that was provided on another thread (thanks to the author Mike Matos for taking my call and answering questions).

Does anyone door knock or follow up on mailed in S. Florida.. and if so is there any difference in this area or is it all the same pretty much?

Do you speak Spanish? Other then that, its the same no matter. I have never worked on that side of the state, but it should be a gold mine for DK since its heavy populated with seniors.

Sadly english only. It doesnt hurt me much in Broward.. if I were in Miami-Dade it would be rough.

Yes and 90% of them speak English. Just because they speak Spanish, French/Hatian Patswa, or Portugese doesn't mean that the vast majority of them don't speak English.

The Spanish they speak isn't really Spanish hence the classes at the local wherever don't always come in handy.

Get an iPad and download that translating App.

I have! and... it took me 9 months and 3 IMO's to learn what I am going to tell you now... Drive to the West Coast or work Central Florida if you want to make it... Any Rural Area will do just fine...

People in the city Keep their Doors locked, hide from Cold Knockers and will tell you to get off the property without giving you a chance... On the other hand... In Fort Myers/Naples, Etc..., I have had people Invite me in before I even got up the Driveway and got to open my mouth...
