Anyone Deal with Lifetel Web or Lifetelinsure.com?

I tried to read your whole post but it's just a bunch of bullshit. What i quoted was a standard rate of a policy that isn't the cheapest. Yes standard rates. The reason I chose the policy I chose is because it's fully underwritten but does not require a paramed exam. That's right, no blood, no urine... just a telephone interview. I get it that you don't understand. Ignorance isn't an excuse though.

LIMRA states that 40% of all life insurance policies placed are preferred or better. I get it that you don't bother understanding a client's health situation or understanding how underwriting works. That's fine and it's your choice.

What do you write more if the safe harbor or the safe harbor express?

My god. Are you joking, seriously? Who are you? Let me tell you something. I'm extremely qualified to speak very candidly and very intelligently on this subject, in particular. How dare you attack, and insult, and belittle. I know underwriting EXTREMELY well and I deal with this stuff with multiple carriers, each and every damn day. What are you so desperately trying to push that you're trying to pick a fight with me and call me... what exactly? I write fully underwritten policies. I've done drop ticket. I know abbreviated underwriting. I assure you, anything you know and have experienced, I know and have dealt with my fair share as well. Is that your thing, though? If someone doesn't agree with what you say and share your same perspective, you punish "unpopular speech" by slinging insults? How "left" of you. Did my post really upset your delicate sensibilities so much that you feel you need to attack me, because I don't share your opinion? I'm a great producer, I'll have you know. My kids eat. Just so you know, I thought your marathon post was total bullshit also. You don't see me attacking you, though. I have a little more respect for people and don't start insulting others if they have a varying opinion. Real nice there. And I sell mostly the normal Safe Harbor version. And I sell Assurity, and I sell ANICO. Jesus.. Check you meds

Everybody takes everything so personally. I never meant to insult. I'm just telling you how things are. I deal with agents regularly and they don't know these things. I wouldn't have a job if they did.

I understand that you're 'qualified'. People don't know what they don't know. I'm sure you're kids eat great. I'm sure you make more money than me. I'm proud of you.

But you mention two companies that offer fully underwritten... but that's not there niche. Do you deal with any real companies?

Help me understand how you justify 80% more for the average person (standard rate class)? You're a better sales man than I'll ever be. I'll walk through any scenario you'd like. You set the terms.

By the way, I said accelerated underwriting. Not abbreviated. Big difference. I'm still not attacking you. I'm attacking the training and teaching of the insurance industry. It's not your fault.

You asked me which version of the Safe Harbor I sell more often. I told you. And I mentioned some of the other non med carriers that I sell. I write my fully underwritten with Protective (non smokers) and AG (for smokers). Term primarily with both of them I'm referring to, obviously. I'm confident those qualify as "real" companies, by anyone's standards. Finally, I wasn't defining or debating with you various underwriting methods. I was simply saying I've done just about all of em. And why would I need to justify anything to you? Honestly, why would I or any other agent need to jump in to a pissing contest with you about this product or that? Clearly, you know your "insurance" and I do as well. But here's the issue I have. I know lots and lots of managers who are already rich guys or have mostly cashed out, including my own sometimes in fairness LOL, and I know lots more who sit in offices all day talking to agents and not customers and some of them are sitting there on some pretty nice salaries and therefore they can afford to talk about lower rates and lower commissions to the agent and can sound like a true "hero to the people". After all, it's not their wallet. Things look a little bit different, on the strictly commission side of the fence :swoon:

Not a manager. Never would. I had an office and hired a manager for that purpose, once, but he sucked so I moved on. I work with agents, does not mean I manage them. I'm pareto principle. My business and theirs.

You don't and should not justify to me. Nor should any 'agent'. I'm not the man in the mirror.

What kind of smokers? Cigar, vape, tobacco, marijuana... yeah, all non smoker rates. Maybe even preferred or...preferred plus. Yes people qualify for those rates.

Good to know, because I'll tell you another thing most of the big honchos that troll on here don't want us dumb agents talking about. It's MY sweat, and the sweat of those like me, who get these fat cats on their grand company trips to exotic places sitting around smoking cigars and drinking scotch telling the suck up carrier people "how hard" they worked to qualify to be there. Too many of those same people then want to turn around and at times try to get on their high horse and try to make us feel guilty about trying to make OUR living while at the same time implying how grateful we should all be to them. That's why I AM a very loyal LIfeTel guy, because they don't do that garbage. They're not hypocrites. So I guess I owe you an apology, but I have to be honest with you and tell you that a lot of what I thought I was hearing from you sounded like "honcho". LOL

And I put the vast majority of my smokers with AG, unless it's one of the other things these days that can be taken as a non smoker. But I'd agree with you that non med smoker rates are truly outrageous and as competitive as Protective is for non smokers, and they are, their smoker rates sure aren't great. If they actually smoke though, I put em through AG.

For real, enjoy your evening. I like a good debate, in all honesty. It was fun :err:

Tahoe Ray, did you ever write this case? Is the GUL you were referring to with Sagicor? Who would you say in your opinion has the best IUL these days? Thanks for your feedback :)

She wants to see what the Pru offer is going to be first. Going with the least expensive carrier...it was GUL and yes, it was Sagicor (which is less expensive than Pru if both preferred).

As far as IUL, there was a pretty good response below your question to me.

I never understood the difference between accelerated underwriting vs simplified issue.. what is the difference?

Simple issue normally has tables built in with relaxed underwriting.

Non-med is typically fully underwritten, just without an exam.

Good evening, Mike ,

Congratulations on your success! It's nice to see several of you made it through and i doing well. It gave me confidence to get my feet wet.

Appreciate your insights on a few questions:
1. Can agents write their own case?
2. Will a part time job from 5pm -9pm CST schedule work?
3. Do I conduct business as Lifetel Agent after signing up?
4. If my clients want face to face to close high premium case ( e.g. cash accumulation type IUL ), will the manager meet them in CA office?

Thank you in advance for your insights.

Geetings, Mike and others,
I have a few questions, can you shed some light how these situation will work out at Lifetel?
1) can agent underwrite his/her own case?
2) If client wants to meet with agent face to face in the office to close cases, will headquarter be the meeting location?

Thank you!

Mikeyv7,

I will be getting my license in 2 weeks and read this thread in it's entirety. First off thank you for documenting. I know that all was not so honky dory but thanks for documenting everything. As someone new to insurance sales and not sales:) I know the dedication, trials and heartaches it takes to be successful.

As I look into a few companies to align with and make a choice this coming week before I pass the exam just want to say your ability to respond makes me think you were a lawyer in some lifetime.

Thank you for the insight.
