Anyone else business affected by DOGE SSA Staff Reduction?

I'm sorry what's nice about it? I'm not engaging in the politics, just asking if anyone else affected. It's never been an issue before so DOGE is the only thing that's changed. I'm not about that life so if you have a politic aim direct it else where.

Your thread topic wording suggests otherwise. If you didn't intend it that way, my apologies. No offices have been closed and no evidence of staff reductions yet other than those who may have taken advantage of the early retirement offer.

My experience over the years has been varied. Those T65 and enrolling online rarely have an issue, but it still takes them 6-8 weeks to get their card. For those who are required to submit additional info, it has always been a crapshoot. Each local office seem to have their own rules. Talked to a client recently who was told her local office wasn't meeting in person, but she could make an appointment for a phone call.

Things really changed with Covid and have never returned to "normal".

They should just update the page and have the most recent update first.

Sometimes that is done to "hide" a boo-boo.

When a post has a material error, rather than correcting it on the page while keeping the same URL, they could generate a new page and set up a redirect to the new URL. The original URL is "ghosted" and searches take visitors to the corrected page.
