A friend was able to get onto healthcare.org but she was having
difficulties setting her password. The interchange went as follows:

"Please create your password below:"

roses

"Sorry, too few characters."

pretty roses

"Sorry, you must use at least one numerical character."

1 pretty rose

"Sorry, you cannot use blank spaces."

1prettyrose

"Sorry, you must use at least 10 different characters."

1friggingprettyrose

"Sorry, you must use at least one upper case character."

1FRIGGINGprettyrose

"Sorry, you cannot use more than one upper case character consecutively."

1FriggingPrettyRose

"Sorry, you must use no fewer than 20 total characters."

1FriggingPrettyRoseShovedUpYou rA_ _IfYouDon'tGiveMeAccessRightNow!

"Sorry, you cannot use punctuation."

"Sorry, that password is already in use."

Sadly, it was almost this bad in November 2013. Imagine the number of subsidized policyholders who will not be able to find their password when it's time to log back into the Marketplace this Fall to state what their 2015 expected income will be.

Lucky for you that's only 10......hahaha

AC, I thought someone posted that "for security reasons" you are required to change your password before logging back in. If so, you have to remember or find your old password then make up a new one.

What could possibly go wrong?

Thank goodness the NY exchange lets us log into any associated account as a broker and make all the changes on their behalf.

Never had a client log in. Any client I've helped in the past can be serviced without them going through this, so long as they come to me.

I imagine there will be a few who see me just because they are incapable of doing it themselves. This might be a good thing for brokers.

HouCoogster, I'm honored that you think so highly of my client's mental and organizational abilites! But based difficulties so many applicants had with attemtpting to recall their Yahoo/Gmail/ATT password for logging in to click on the link activating their hc.gov account.... (Somarco is right!)

I suppose that's good and bad... depending on how busy you are obtaining new clients. When I started putting clients on BCBSIL 3 years ago, my available time for prospecting tripled, because BCBS is so proactive with servicing their customers.

Back when I was earning 25-30% First Year and 15% Renewals on health, service work for a couple hundred clients was not a problem. But ObamaCare is spinning our rodent wheel a lot faster and the cheese slices are smaller. If they shrink more for 2015 I'm jumping off!

Doesn't matter, they no longer work. Most everyone must call, "unlock" account, and be sent new temp password.

That was a funny piece Bob
