Try talking to people you know and letting them know what you do...they may need your services they may not, they may know someone who needs your services, just bought a house, had a baby got divorced changed jobs etc... Talking to people you know will cost you nothing....calling on local business owners will also cost you nothing.

This is what I know of the adlink thing. It was started by the owner of Home Depot, he hates google, and wants to overthrow it. So he got together with some programmers that looked for loopholes within google. Well he found them, and is able to arrange someone's site at number1 for organic search results. Usually the top five. My family oriented their sites with this software, and our sites show up number 1-4 consistently for lorain county. Sometimes it doesn't work that well, which explains why it didnt blast off like they wanted it to. 1200 for each zipcode that you want. From what I understand, the bugs havent been fully worked out, and if google has anything to say about it, they wont.

Localadlink does not work. I have been getting pitched on it by 2 diff members of my chamber of commerce. They both have websites for their "full-time" businesses and when I try a search for them, they show up litterally about 1 in 100 searches. On top of that, one of them is in the "stress reduction" business and still can't manage to show up high on the sponsored searches. Imagine one of us using our line of insurance trying to get top placement consistently for that cheap? BS
