Are Any of You Refusing to Become Exchange Certified?

We're not really "Certified" until we're assigned a F.E.I.N.. And that can't happen until you prove to the Almighty CMS Portal that you are who you think you are. CMS Portal is not receiving any Agent-Broker guests as of yet.

O.K., burst my bubble....:nah: I now feel like I was issued an blank diploma and the college records office burn down. :goofy:

I will only be selling off exchange. Been shifting my model to the point where I am not as dependent on health commissions as 3 years ago. Counting on having 2 more years to build up my residual non-major med business.

So to answer your question, I will not be participating in exchange business, at least not in the first round.

Perhaps ALL OF US will be selling "Off Exchange", Somarco. Here's the latest notice from the CMS Medicare Learning Network. (aka the agent training site) It's been up there for almost 2 weeks now. Somethin's goin down in DC.

"You recently established an account on our website, to complete the agent/broker training for the Federally-facilitated Marketplaces (FFM).

As you know, completing the training and agreement(s) is the first part of the two-part registration process for agents and brokers in the FFMs.

At this time, we are reminding all agents/brokers that the second part of the FFM registration process
is not yet available

You may continue to monitor the status of the second step for registration by following our website: Resources for Agents and Brokers in the Health Insurance Marketplace - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

In the meantime, please do not attempt to complete the second part of the registration process at this time, as that functionality is not yet ready for agents/brokers.

We appreciate your interest in the FFMs and we will keep you apprised of all pertinent status updates, via our website listed above.

Thank you, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services"

-The End

I am sitting on the fence. I did hear from a source that one of the players on the Tennessee exchange will be paying $29 for the first person on the plan and $15 on all others, per month, don't know about renewals but will be meeting with them Friday.
