Well...not ALL of them. Most do. But there are actually many sources that provide very good leads. You don't hear about them because the buyers and sellers are happy with their private arrangement and wish to keep it that way.

Is 1% good or bad?
I did learn not to post the cards I got back on this forum. I thought I had blacken it out good enough, but i didn't.
So is 1% good or bad,,,or what?

1% is great if the person returning the card actually wants to buy insurance.
It costs about $400/K to send mail. (Yes you can go cheaper but work with me on this).
1% means 10 cards come back. If the product you sell has an average commission of $400, you break even if you sell one of the 10.
To make this work, you need to sell at least 3 out of 10 cards returned. This doesn't mean that you offer free information. It means the people know you are selling insurance.
When I do my MA mailings which are highly targeted, I get about 5-8% returned and write about 20-30% of those. A 1% return doesn't impress me because I write about 1-2% of the cards I send.

There aren't any good lead companies out there, they're all crap, but most of the leads are crap anyway, whether you generate them yourself, or you buy from someone else.
