Just curious how many agents are using blogs to market their practices? And if you are do you write the content yourself, purchase elsewhere, etc. Do you use your own Wordpress install or a hosted setup like Blogger, etc?

Appreciate any feedback you all have.

I recently made the switch to Joomla, writing blogs is a great way to establish your credibility, will get you traffic, thus leads.

I try to write a couple a week :)

Absolutely, I pretty much drive 95% of my traffic directly to my blog. Your blog should be your nerve center, or hub, in the "You, Inc." marketing model, branding yourself as the expert in what you do...providing articles, video, case studies, industry resources, faq's, on and on. Check mine out and see for yourself.:)

I write every day. Some days I write an article. Other days I do a blog post for one of my sites.

I wrote a post and did a video about student health insurance recently.

I get a lot of traffic from my blogs. It is a great way to take advantage of long tail keywords and to show Google that your site is being updated on a regular basis.

I've been trying to write 1-3 articles and/or blog posts a day. Just wrote one the other day about the buy term and invest the difference theory and why it doesn't work. Not only does it drive more traffic, but I include a link to the blog in every e-mail I send as part of my signature block.
