It depends on the zip code. It may not work for you. There are plenty of people in HMO areas who want a PPO and Assurant is the best option. I love Assurant, but its not competitive for me.

And soft drinks aren't going to cut it.

It is not always $100 more and make sure you are comparing ppo to ppo not hmo to ppo... I think you need to run about 100 quotes and then get back with us...
