Assurity Final Expense & Emphysema

Assurity drags ass.. get a FE product on the phone and it'll take 40 minutes.. they'll ask everything plus shoe size.. not to mention they pay every 2 weeks.. and they are real good about issuing stuff on the 16th... expect to get paid in 4 weeks on any product you submit with Assurity

I've had fully underwritten stuff approved, issued and in my bank acct before any Assuirty product.. hell, even their ADD

Underwriting at Assurity is bi-polar. But it is very predictable once you learn it.

According to VP who was in Vegas back in July, they got burned on some claims so they really tightened up underwriting. What is funny is they get completely bent out of shape over pain meds, but let so much other just slide on through.

For your sanity and the comfort of the client, don't take anyone to Assurity unless they are being completely open about their health. If you think there is something they might be trying to hide that isn't directly addressed by the questions, Assurity is not the place to go. They will find it and they will use it to turn the app into a decline.

Also, Assurity is not the place for anyone who won't shut up. Some companies simply want their list of questions answered. Not Assurity. If someone had a cold a month ago and wants to talk about it, Assurity is more than happy to listen and find a reason to decline.

That's funny but oh so true about clients not shutting up. I was doing an AmCon yesterday and the guy kept wanting to give essay answers to every question on the app even though I had told him to just answer with a simple yes or no. The interviewer told him several times that she could only take yes or no answers and finally told him that if he wouldn't cooperate that she would have to end the interview. That got him to shut up finally.

From what you are saying if that had been Assurity we would still be there talking?

Pretty much, unless you ended it.

Thats funny & true, they are weird....they "closed" a case I wrote in July, why?? Kaiser takes 3-4mos to get u an APS, Assurity knows this but closes it after 60days if all conditions arent met. They told me if they receive it in the next 60days, they will re-open it, but on the website it shows only 30days.

They declined my gf cause she was in the hospital recently for irritable bowel syndrome....didnt really say why though!

Their term 360 product is good, esp with ROP & well priced....but be careful u who send there, if they have ANY meds or say yes to ANY of the questions, u might as well apply with another company at the sametime hope for the best but expect the worst!
