If you're going to take the insurance business seriously, it's just another cost of doing business. A lot of people don't intentionly lie, but they are easily confused.

They will not let you sell anything wihtout it and I suspect it is provided to you by them and then deducted from your commissions.

How are you going to be working for Allstate, as an agent, or a producer in an agent's office?

If you are going to be an agent, Allstate will require it, probably through their program. They won't turn on your appointment until it is in place.

If you are going to work in someone's office, their policy probably covers you.
