I am currently writing 50 auto a month. I am looking for a way to double my production. Any outside the box suggestions on growing auto. I am already doing internet leads, referrals, live transfers, etc.

Me and one sales guy write 50 auto together. I'm the agent, he's my team member. Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried all those in the past. They are all working methods. Just looking for faster more efficient ways of growing auto. Thank you

Writing 50 autos a month is awesome production. Keep up the good work, the business will grow.

Out of curiousity though, what's your 13th month retention (i.e., survives the 1 year renewal) on those? I only ask (and don't really expect an answer) is because frequently the best policy it write is the one you've already written and making sure it stays on the books.

I've known a lot of heavy hitter auto writers, most have terrible retention. I was never sure why this was except I guess they got the thrill from writing the policy, not servicing it afterwards.

The only real idea I've done on top of those mentioned for volume of auto clients is working with some local dealerships. You can usually write 30-40 a month there if you work it right, but, retention won't be great, service will be high and claims will be frequent.

I haven't been in business long enough to have an annual lapse cancellation percentage. Higher volume usually yields higher rates. I'm hoping to be in the 18-24% range. Thanks for the advice about the dealerships.

I don't just write auto. I multiline as many households as possible. Currently writing 100 apps a month total. Just really looking to drive my auto production.

What seems to be the best source of business for you out of the ones you mentioned? Internet leads, referrals, ect?
