Bachman Shaking It Up

Good to have you back.

What's up with Winter 123? I thought you were just Winter.

The little I have seen of Bachmann is impressive, more so than Palin, but I don't think either is ready for a WH run.

Of course, neither was Jimmy Carter or Obama and that didn't stop them . . .

Maybe it's only Dim's that can make a successful run based on a nice smile and no substance.

She would be an effective Vice President, thats all...

and I agree with you Bob, WAYYYY better than Palin (what an AIPAC-neocon bitch)

Um, no. She and Palin alienate those of us who understand critical thinking, as well as those of us who are centrists. Either of them on a ticket is a loser, plain and simple.

Having either of them on a ticket is also a page straight out of Idiocracy.

I actually screwed up and meant to post this in the non-insurance section. Sorry about that.

I reposted it there and have some comments there. Yeh, I dont see her as a nominee or presidential material. I do think she is going to bring more focus to the Tea Party wing and do some damage there against both the dems and the repubs who are prone to selling out fairly easily. As I said, she is shaking it up a bit. She and Palin are going to work together as a tag team. Of course Palin isnt going to be the nominee nor does she want it. She is just maximizing interest in herself to market the usual Wasilla Circus business ventures. Which of course distracts the pubs from focusing on finding a real candidate. Deja vu all over again so I keep my expectations low.

Got rid of Steele, that helps a bit.

and you're a page right out of the 18th century! Critical thinking...not on your part!

Say what you will, but Palin on the McCain ticket made it a closer race than it would have been without her.

Not saying she, or Bachmann, are VP or Prez material, but they make the race interesting beyond just the physical. It changes the dynamics and brings out the female (and even male) voter that might not turn out otherwise.

In similar fashion, a black man (or woman) on the ticket is also a game changer.

Palin was a terrible choice. The far right wasn't voting for Obama regardless of who was the VP choice was. In the process, McCain alienated all of the middle-of-the-road voters by picking someone who was ill-informed and unable to act like a VP candidate.

There were (and still are) much better choices out there. That said, there were better choices than Obama, and Palin did have more experience at the time - but she is/was not smarter than him, and it showed continuously.
