Back Link Pimp

Here is the email I sent him. He initially offered me $100 and I was going to take it but I decided to troll him and see what happened. This is the email I came up with.

Dave,

Upon review of your website, I am reluctant to add you as an affiliate. Because you are a lead aggregation website that appears to do business in the state of California as my indirect competition, I am only willing to provide you with a permanent link in the blog entry for $200. I can also offer a 1 year non-permanent link for $150. If you are interested, let me know.

Bizarre!

This is an email that I got last month:

Ed,

Upon review of your website I am reluctant to add you as an affiliate. Because you are a charity website that appears to do business in the state of Ohio as my indirect competition, I am only willing to provide you with a permanent link in the blog entry for $900. I can also offer a 1 year non-permanent link for $750. If you are interested, let me know.

Honestly I'd prefer if people on forums didn't know*my actual domain. I mean are people so clueless about link building that they would resort to paying for links?

Cheap Car Insurance California - Shift Insurance

Is this your site. Looks fine. You can definitely improve your conversions from your current conversion rate if you change the location of your picture and your quote request call to action. In your picture the couple in the convertible are looking away from your site content. When you have a picture on your home page you want the eyes of the people looking directly at your call to action. The eyes will take the visitors of your site subliminally to your call to action. Thus, you could simply keep your current picture of the couple in the convertible but move the quote request call to action from the left side of the picture to the right side of the picture.

Hope this can help you, Raphael.
