They could. Upsets do happen. I'm not expecting one. Of course that's they are called upsets. IU can't beat UK unless we help them. And that could happen. It happened against Wisc in the FF last year.
They want to call this a game between two "bluebloods" of college basketball. That simply is not the case with IU anymore.
Clappy got rings for the team for making the sweet sixteen a couple year ago. That's not a joke. If IU were to beat UK today they will rush the court. I guarantee UK fans will not rush the court after beating them, or anyone for that matter.
IU fan rushed the court when they beat UK at THEIR gym 4 years ago. And that was a top 10 ranked IU team. Playing at home and rushed the court after a win over UK.
But we are used to that stuff. Every game UK plays is someone's superbowl. it's "white out", "black out", "orange out" or whatever "out" they can think of.
Whenever college GameDay is at any SEC school other than UK it's when UK is in town.
There was a time when IU was a proud program and would not rush the court for beating UK. It certainly wouldn't have happened when Bobby Knight was there.
And most of the IU fans I know, and I know a lot of them, I played basketball at least once a week in Evansville, In for over 30 years, are embarrassed by the fact that IU fan did rush the court.
