Can anyone share what plans and rates they are getting for 800 service numbers? I checked with Bellsouth and it was$60 a month and $.05 per minute. Uh no thanks. Any tried vonage also for 800 numbers?

I highly recommend them. It's very easy to set up, can ring any number you want and they have more features then you'd ever use.

    800 numbers

I'm using www.gosolo.com. I need, however, to have my phone answered by a person when I'm not in so I may switch to an answering service.

Ringcentral Kicks Ass! Their 800 number system and their fax software are awesome in their functionality and simplicity. They do offer a free trial to test out their programs.

It can ring any phone you choose. I have mine ring my cell often when I'm out and about. My base rate is $14.95 per month - then you can purchase as many minutes as you want. The more minutes you purchase the lower your per-minute rate.
