Beware - You Can Be Sold!

Outside of Senior Marketing Specialist in Columbia, MO, Premier is the second FMO we have the most contracts with. Very good people, good contracts, good service if you need it. I'm not worried about releases, FMO's don't mean crap in the real world unless they are crooked and pilfering your book of business.

Go on about your business as you were with Cutler, what's the diff?

If they bought one of your contracts, you wouldn't have a choice...they don't release agents.
They can purchase you and own you!
They might purchase my contract but they would never own me.. I no longer work the Med Supp (Quit when Select and MA came about) but surely a person can make a living in the senior market without UHC.. And, if the answer to that is, "No you can't", then I would find another market.. I have walked away from markets before and I could do it again if I felt it necessary.

Rick:

For what it's worth, I think Tom and Mike are good guys. I can see both sides here. On one hand, they probably paid a large sum and want to protect their investment from a feeding frenzy of other agencies trying to recruit these agents, so they are probably taking a much harder line than they normally would. On your side, you didn't sign up with them, so I can see why you want some assurances you can get out if you want to.

I'd give them some time to prove themselves and if you still have a problem, give them a call. I've always known them to do the right thing.

Again, this falls in the FWIW category.

This is terrible news Rick. Why they passing my Buddy around like human currency?
They're passing you around like a skinny long haired 18 year old at the county jail.

I'm outraged!

And who is this Veal Cutlets & #$%^. anyway?

Great to see you back!!!

You need to see the movie "The Company men". It's on Netflix. The key phrase there is " You're just another Guacamole with a resume". (I cleaned it up for the kiddies.)

Thanks Craig and I'm happy to give them all the time in the world - as long as they agree to release me upon request. If they want me to stick around 3 months or so, I'm ok with that.

The email from their VP was cut and dry. No release. That immediately puts them on my sh*t list.

Even though I trust you completely I asked and received a pre-nup from you. You're honest but I can't yet say the same of Premier.

Rick

Premier should honor anybody that had a signed pre-nup agreement with Cutler.

Cutler should have told them how many of those they gave out and they should have factored that into their purchase.

The pre-nup is not about giving them a chance. The pre-nup is for when things change and it always does.

Or just flat out doing what you want with your business.

Is UHC paying you? And if so, I don't see the problem.
