Biden Freezes Trump Insulin & Epinephrine Pricing

Insulin is made the exact same way (essentially) as it was when it was first developed for public use. There's no 7 year protection.

Current prices for insulin are based on profit shares, not production costs or any government protections of patents.

But you were talking about the drug industry being a result of capitalism it is not just based on that one fact there is more to it

But in general you cannot make the claim drug industry is the result of capitalism there are many laws to protect drug companies I don't even know half of them but that was just one

I will say there is a lot of people getting better and getting off insulin by fasting and eating keto

I have think someone mentioned that injections of bacon fat can reduce your insulin usage.

I will be very plain spoken here... once government gets its hands into something like healthcare it screws it all up. Just ask the schools around the country where teachers don't want to do their job and people are still paying the same tax rates for far less services.

I am very tiered of how political heath and education have become... we are sick and ignorant... that's enough proof for me that government has and is failing at its job. I'm not an expert, but I function in the health field and am an educator... I know of which I speak.

Yea I don't think its the fat that reduces it as much as its the elimination of sugar and carbs

And its no overnight either, I once for me I didn't think or know I had any issues

But when I started tracking Blood sugar and ketones,as I was getting into the diet I noticed I was waking up at 140 morning BS

Now a year later I am starting to wake up under 100 but little her little there it goes down

Ive heard lots of stories though of people coming off insulin lots of it too for them it happens a bit faster at least at first

There is one doc in Canada that runs a fasting website that has many clients that dropped insulin, in fact, it one of the major things he does,

He said he noticed it first with people who got weight loss surgery noticed reduced calories help but found fasting was much more effective than the surgery especially when connected to low carb

Now I don't go as extreme as them Most fasting I have done is IF 18/6 or one meal sometimes but haven't done that since Sept

Good for you! Always glad to here someone progressing on their health journey and taking responsibility for what God gave them.

I moved off sugar to loose weight and reduce bp. Just the simple move away from sugar has had an effect on my bp. I work out 3 to for times a week moderate to heave weight. I have found that walking is a key factor as well. My weight loss is a sad story as I am back up again, but I'm also putting on the muscle.

In this profession you can get very sedentary which is not good for health in general and is hard on your back and joints. Have always been a very happy guy and love to laugh, but since becoming gym rats with my daughter, I have seen an improvement in mood, especially during winter months.

Honestly, there are a lot of things that will improve by taking sugar out, I don't know most of them I do know helps with flamitory issues knee's joints, and stuff

I do remember how nice exercise can be, Very effective on mood especially as you said, I have to get back into it I have not really had much time in the past year or so but this past year has been especially taxing.

But I do remember the dif in mood

Working with a client now who is a restaurant owner, Italian food. The owner eats fish, chicken, vegetables, herbs and spices for flavor, and has reduced A1C and cholesterol so there is no need for meds. We had a brief discussion about lifestyle choices. There may be people who live in a so called food desert or on the other hand can't picture life without the standard American diet.
The easiest way to save money on prescriptions is spend it on healthy food, and other habits like walking/other exercise.
I never openly judge clients for their choices, mainly am sometimes saddened by the inability to adopt different habits. We all have our blind spots. Some are ill no matter what they do, no judgement there.

The problem is there are so many voices so many paths, Most of which did not work for me some even made things worse a lot worse

I used to buy all the reduced fat the lean cuisines, salads, veggies, and fat-free stuff as I gained and gained and didn't know why

Going Keto changed everything put me back into control but a lot of info initially points to the first way, You have to unlearn what you learned and that is tough for most (including Me I had to get to a place of desperation )impossible for some
