Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona 2014 Agent Comp

A real estate agent makes that much commission. How many health apps would you have to write to equal selling just one (avg.) house?

I guess the health agents out there will have to tend bar or wait tables in the evenings.

I don't sell in AZ and can only speak for myself but 6% lifetime commissions, IMO, is a pretty good deal.

It's basically the same as Medicare, you build a book of business and get paid each year for renewals.

Using a $300 per person, per month average premium, it comes out to $216 a year for each member.

200 members is $43,000+ in compensation
400 members is $86,000+ in compensation
600 members is $128,000+ in compensation

I would think experienced agents with an existing book of business would easily get to at least 400 and more likely 600 members without that much difficulty. The only way this isn't a good deal is if ACA falls apart after a couple of years (unlikely).

I'd be thrilled if my local Blue company released these numbers (they haven't released anything yet and won't until September 30th).
