Mine went up around 20% last year.

I'll be shopping mine come AEP if the premium increase is this egregious.

They will all go up by double digits and 15 - 20% is not out of the question.

The govt reinsurance petered out too soon, carriers guessed wrong on losses/rates, on exchange business is atrocious.

I've been passing out increases between 15 and 20% for 15 years. Group and Indy. Before most people had ever heard of BHO.

Can't speak for TX, but in GA small group rates were about 2.5 IFP rates. Didn't have 15%+ rate increases here, at least not on IFP.

Difference now is there is almost no difference in small group and IFP rates.

15% on $1100 IFP family rate is not the same as 15% on a $400 family rate.

Never thought I would see the day when family health insurance rates were as much as a mortgage payment. Don't think I had anyone paying more than $500/mo for family coverage before Hussein took office. Now most are in the $800 - $1300 range, IF they can afford it.

So we are talking about 15% on top of a 250% rate increase when they lost their grandfathered plan.

Not the same thing cupcake.
