Death is usually a shock, but when you’re 41 and tragedy hits, the paperwork is rarely up to date. We hope that Kobe Bryant had a complete estate plan in place that reflected his wishes and his family’s needs.

Kobe had officially walked away from the court and the sponsorships that pushed his career earnings well above $500 million. The next phase was going to be very different and promised to ultimately pay off even better.

Bryant, not Bryat . . .

A case where a man has absolutely no knowledge of Bryant's financial condition by yet felt compelled to write about it.. Guess he made a few bucks from the article.

And like one of the comments under the article said, I'm sure there will be lawsuits against the estate from the survivors of the estate.

Remember when JFK Jr passed away? His wife and her sister (they were passengers) that passed away. Their family got a nice chunk of change.

Good possibility the crash will be attributed to pilot error. You can bet his estate will be sued.

True, he apparently had no first hand knowledge but is conjecture is probably not far from the truth.

Enter now James Gandofini (AKA Tony Soprano). Plus Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Ed Koch, Paul Walker . . .
Estate Planning Failures of the Rich and Famous

But on the other hand, Kobe might have had a bevy of qualified planners that had everything in good shape.
