In a way. We bought out their distribution and took over their lease. Roberts is still in business selling under a different capacity. Once we took over, we implemented many enhancements to the platform. Like inbound TV leads and FinalExpenseTeleversity.com to name a few.

My favorite is when you ask AARP to explain the "group pern program" And then they say the words "whole life insurance" and I asked them well why doesn't it say that on the paperwork can't be that if it doesn't say that right?
I have been told my entire career that only a licensed agent can make quotes and ask health questions, and of course, write the app. Everything else doesn't need a license.
Mind you, I have never attempted to verify this by reading all the laws and statutes out there.

To give quotes you have to be licensed in the state you are quoting in. Non licensed phone reps cannot legally give quotes. They also cannot give insurance "advice", but this line gets crossed regularly. Quoting rates however cannot be done at all unless the rep is licensed in the state the client lives in. This I know to be fact.
I got an email from Michigan DOI that said something very similar to this.
